Circa 1960 Martin " Style 51" Baritone Ukulele
Circa 1960 Martin " Style 51" Baritone Ukulele
Though we have seen quite a few Martin concerts ukulele's come through our door, this is without a doubt the first baritone ukulele we have seen.
Most likely made in the late 1950's to early 1960's, this fine Martin Baritone Ukulele fits all the specs of a Style 51 except for one thing, instead of black binding this uke has all tortoise celluloid binding.
This fine instrument has had a professionally done neck reset as well as some repair to the original tuner buttons. It's all mahogany construction provides a nice deep, warm, tone while it's slim neck profile and small body make it the perfect "zero-fatigue" couch instrument.
This baritone ukulele comes with it's original chipboard case as well as a newer arch top case.
Fun!!!
